Episode 23: Hotel Pools

Ben Braun, the mastermind behind Billboard charting chillsynth act Hotel Pools, crashes "Hot Takes" with Skelly and Shiro for 2+ hours of crazy stories, intimate insight, and back-and-forth with the bois and the live audience in chat. Hotel Pools is one of the more well known and successful acts in the popular chillsynth subgenre, which builds upon the gentler analog sounds often used in synthwave and chillwave music. Helping launch independent electronic music label Stratford Ct into a higher echelon of success and popularity, Mr. Braun's albums, EP's, and singles have enjoyed an astonishing level of acclaim and renown. In today's episode, we get to hear so much insight into the ins and outs of his experience with big music business during his days writing and performing as Mackintosh Braun.
